Last month while on vacation in California, two of Bob Wilkins’ granddaughters had the opportunity to visit the Matsui Greenhouses located in Salinas Valley. The greenhouses in California were originally constructed to grow Chrysanthemums in the 1970’s, then Matsui became the largest rose grower in California during the 1980’s. About 15 years ago Mr. Matsui noticed a huge increase of imported roses and decided to repurpose his Greenhouses towards Orchid production. Today Matsui Greenhouses is one of the largest growers of Potted Orchids. Two years ago they decide to expand and built greenhouse facilities next to our headquarters in Sewell, NJ. The close relationship with DV has allowed us the opportunity to offer a full range of Matsui grown Orchids for delivery on a daily basis.
