Weather continues to affect California flower production

By January 10, 2011June 14th, 2019No Comments

We were hoping that by now we would have better news. The weather remains a huge problem for our industry in California. If you have been watching the weather reports you have seen first hand what we have been talking about for weeks. Since the end of September California has received an equivalent of their annual rainfall. Not only lots of rain, but extremely cold weather and wind. This extreme weather activity has actually destroyed many of the farms outdoor crops such as Larkspur, Amaranthus, Stock and Sunflowers to name a few. The results are obvious; finding product has become very difficult and as Supply & Demand economics dictates prices are higher than normal.
