DVFlora.com FAQ’s

Please refer to the list of question and answers below to better help you navigate our e-commerce website.  If you require further assistance, please reach out to your DV Sales Representative or email us.

What browsers does the site support?

Chrome, Firefox, and Edge work well since they are auto-updated and run the newest versions. Some older versions of Safari work partially, but the newest version works best. Internet Explorer 10 and older are too old and will not work. They are susceptible to hacking and should be replaced.  Internet Explorer 11 does seem to work OK, but it’s slower.

Why can’t I find what I’m looking for? I am clicking on Sub Categories but no products are showing.

You probably have a keyword in the search box from your last search. Click the “X” in the box to clear your search term.

The keyword search terms stay in the box so you can narrow your search using the filters. For example, if you search for iris, you can find the flower iris and the ribbon color iris. But clicking on the Carnation Sub Category after searching for iris won’t produce any results since there are no carnations with iris in the name.

How do I make the text and photos appear larger?

There are a few things to try. Clicking on the word “Details” in the list of products brings up a window with a larger picture, larger text, and additional product information for that item. You can also use the “Zoom” feature of your browser to make everything larger (see your browser’s settings or help page). If some page features are squished together, you should maximize your browser window or at least make it larger.

The Future Availability showed that the product I wanted would be available for a future date, but when I changed the date, nothing is showing as available. Can I still order the item?

Items on the Future Availability list disappear once that date is selected, but you should still be able to add the item to your cart, as long is you are entering less than the quantity that was available. Just try entering the amount you need, the system will let you know if there is not enough for that date.

The site allows me to enter a new Credit Card. Can I use this to change my default credit card?

You can enter a new card, but it will NOT replace your default credit card. Which means the new card will not be used for your new purchase or any future purchase.  You need to contact our Accounts Receivable department between 8 AM and 4 PM to change your default credit card. Additional documentation may be required.

Can I enter a credit card to use for the current order I am entering?

You can enter a new card, but it will NOT be used for that order. You have to contact our Accounts Receivable department between before 4 PM the day before delivery, or the Friday before for a Monday delivery. Additional documentation may be required.

Can I change my Billing Address?

You cannot change your primary billing address on the website. You should contact your Sales Rep or Customer Relations to do that. But you can ADD a new Billing Address if you are adding a new Credit Card that uses a different Billing Address. The address information is used during Credit Card processing to help verify the card. However, the restrictions that apply to adding new Credit Cards as described above still apply.

When checking out my shopping cart, do I have to click the Cart, Shipping, Payment and Confirmation boxes?

Once you are viewing your shopping cart, if the products, amounts and delivery date are correct all you need to do is click “Confirm Order”

On the new site, am I able to enter a PO for my order?

Yes, once you are viewing your shopping cart, click on the shipping button to find the PO Number field. You can enter anything you want here. Then click Confirm Order to place your order. Do not forget to double check your products, amounts and delivery date first

On the new site, am I able to change my order after I have submitted my shopping cart?

No, just like the old site you would need to contact your Sales Associate to make any changes. If your order is for the next day delivery and you cannot reach your Sales Associate, please call the main number at 800-676-1212 and ask to speak to an available Sales Person.

What is the quickest way to find something?

There are many methods to search for product on our new site. The fastest way is to use one of the two Keyword search fields. One is located on the top of every screen to the left of your Shopping Cart:

The second location is at the bottom of the main screen under What are you looking for?

You can simply type in the item you are looking for in the Keywords field, for example Iris. This will find all available items that include the word Iris, even Iris ribbon. Alternatively, you can narrow your search by selecting a Product Category, Sub Category and then type in the Keyword.

With the Top of the screen search field, you click on the arrow to select a Product Category. It is that simple! Just remember to clear out the keyword before navigation through the website for additional items.

How come when I change my ship date not all items I am shopping for change to the new date?

When you are shopping, only the items you enter after you change the ship date will be for the new date. Any items you have in your shopping cart already will maintain the date you entered each of them for. To change the ship date on items you have already entered, click on the shopping cart. You will find a Ship Date calendar to the right of each line item. Just select the new date for each item. If the product is not available for the new date requested, you will receive a popup message.

How do I show pictures to a customer but not show them the wholesale prices?

Once you choose a Subcategory, you can click the Checkbox for “Show Prices” to turn the prices on or off. This will affect the List view, Grid view and the Details view.

Can I see just the products I can order for the day I want my delivery?

You can change the Availability switch at the top to show only items for the Ship Date you have selected, or to show all products that we currently have in inventory and incoming for future dates.
