European Air Space

By April 24, 2010No Comments

The European Air Space has opened back up. Flights are in the air and the backlog of freight and passengers is starting to clear. There are expectations that it will take up to four or five days for things to return to normal.  In general our suppliers performed remarkably well and hopefully put us in a continued position of strength.  We were very fortunate to receive a shipment from Holland this week. We have to say that is pretty remarkable and we are not so sure that our competitors and even other industries were as fortunate.  Thank you to everyone involved that helped in making this challenge a little more tolerable.  We will continue with the updates to let you know what to expect over the next few days and into Mother’s Day.

There was an article published in the Gloucester County Times this past Tuesday about the difficulties our industry faced due to Mother Nature. They interviewed Steve Catando, Purchasing Manager at Delaware Valley. Here is the link to the article: Gloucester County Times article
