Severe Storm and Its Impact on S. Jersey

By June 26, 2015No Comments

We are now 2 days since the storm, and the town of Sewell and many surrounding towns in Gloucester County, NJ, still have no power. DV has been able to keep operating normally thanks to our two generators that have kept everything running in the past days. We do, however, have many dedicated employees that live locally and do not have power, and many local business’s remain closed. There is an expectation that tree limbs will be cleared and power lines restored within the next 48 hours or so. While many areas in our Delivery Regions have been encumbered by many serious weather related events over the past years, this one hit really close to home and many locals have said it is the worst they have experienced in their lifetimes.

For anyone in the Gloucestery County area who is still without power and needs a place to rest, eat, or cool off the information below is directly from the American Red Cross:

American Red Cross is providing two reception areas in Gloucester County that began at noon today.

The reception areas will provide assistance for medical machine charging, cell phone charging, beverages, snacks, comfort kits.
